Market predictions on Previsions offer an exciting opportunity to leverage
your knowledge and insights about various markets while potentially earning
profits. Our prediction markets use advanced Automated Market Maker (AMM)
technology to ensure fair pricing and liquidity for all participants.
 Understanding Our Prediction MarketsUnlike traditional
betting, prediction markets work by allowing users to buy and sell "shares" in
potential outcomes. The price of these shares represents the probability of that
outcome occurring, ranging from 0 to 1 (or 0% to 100% probability).
 Types of Markets Available<ul><li>Binary Markets:
Simple yes/no questions with two possible outcomes. For example: "Will
Bitcoin exceed $100,000 by December 31st?"</li><li>Multiple Choice Markets:
Questions with several possible outcomes. For example: "Which cryptocurrency
will see the highest percentage growth this quarter?"</li><li>Multiple Market
Binary: Collections of related binary markets grouped together for
comparison.</li></ul>Each market has a specific timeframe with defined start and
end dates, ensuring clear resolution criteria. How Our AMM
WorksOur system uses a sophisticated logarithmic market scoring rule
with these key components:<ul><li>Liquidity Pool: Each market has
a dedicated pool of funds that enables trades without requiring counterparties.</li>
<li>Dynamic Pricing: Prices adjust automatically based on market
activity, trading volume, and the current distribution of outcome shares.</li><li>
Overround: A small percentage added to the total probability to
ensure market sustainability.</li><li>Volume Impact: Larger trades
have proportionally higher price impact, protecting the market from manipulation.
 </li></ul>Getting Started with Market Predictions<ol>
<li>Browse available markets in the Predictions section of Previsions.</li><li>
Research the topic thoroughly before participating.</li><li>Analyze the current
pricing to identify potential value opportunities.</li><li>Select your preferred
outcome and decide on your position size.</li><li>Execute your trade by buying
shares in your chosen outcome. </li></ol>Advanced Trading
 Strategies<ul><li>Value Identification: Look for
outcomes where you believe the current price (probability) is misaligned with
reality.</li><li>Portfolio Approach: Spread your capital across
multiple markets to diversify risk.</li><li>Liquidity Analysis:
Consider the market's liquidity when sizing your positions—larger liquidity pools
can accommodate bigger trades with less price impact.</li><li>Timing Your
Entries: Markets often see price fluctuations based on news cycles or
external events—timing your entry can maximize potential returns.</li><li>
Understanding Price Movements: Our AMM increases prices as more shares
are purchased, so early position-taking often offers better value. </li></ul>
Reading Market SignalsPrediction markets are powerful
forecasting tools because they aggregate information from many participants:
<ul><li>High-priced outcomes (close to 1.0) indicate strong consensus that the
event will occur.</li><li>Mid-priced outcomes (around 0.5) suggest significant
uncertainty.</li><li>Price movements can signal new information entering the
market.</li><li>Trading volume indicates level of interest and can help gauge
 market confidence. </li></ul>Risk Management Essentials
<ul><li>Position Sizing: Never risk more than you can afford
to lose on a single market.</li><li>Understand the Fees: Be aware
of the overround percentage when calculating potential profits.</li><li>
Consider Selling Early: You don't need to hold until market resolution—
selling shares when prices move in your favor is a valid strategy.</li><li>
Watch for Market Changes: Market conditions can shift rapidly based on
external events.</li><li>Use Stop Points: Decide in advance at
what price you'll exit if the market moves against your position. </li></ul>
